365 Days of DC House Ads, Day 323: We at DC celebrate the loss of four pages

I'm pretty sure the Superman "Annuals" (of which there were, oddly, 8 between 1960 and 1964) were all in the same "80 page" format as the 80 Page Giant series that replaced the Annuals. That is, 80 pages plus the four covers. Strangely, in the 1970s when they expanded the pagecount linewide they advertised "52 Big Pages", counting the covers, as did the "100 Page Super Spectacular" format. I guess they just use whatever number sounds catchier.

Also strange that they advertise #6 as the first Sueprman issue of 80 Page Giant, when Superman was featured in #1. And Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane in #2 and #3, which makes those technically Superman volumes as well.
